Thank you to all the volunteers who worked the annual VFW Post 1786 Poppy Drive. This was my first year out in the trenches, and it was a great experience. My "buddy" (who received a WHOLE lot more donations than I…pretty sure it was the hat!) and I carried on a very nice conversation as we greeted potential donors and handed out poppies. He really made the two-hour shift go by quickly. I encourage any and all VFW members to participate in this wonderful cause next year, and for years to come!
